Justin Warner's Show to Premiere March 30th at 10pm

Well, it looks like we finally have the air date for Justin Warner's show.  From a press release that came out today, Justin's show will premiere on March 30th at 10pm and will be called Rebel Eats rather than the working title "Justin's Excellent Adventure."

A little timeline regarding the show progression -

The show went from Fall, to Winter to now Spring

In January we found out Alton Brown was not producing the show

Then the reason Alton Brown was not producing the show

It looks like it is only a one hour special from the press release rather than a series, where Justin "hits the road in search of unique culinary rule-breakers in the one-hour special."

Justin is "armed with $300 in his pocket, a beat up car and a passion for unconventional food and eccentric people, Justin travels the back roads of the South to try everything from moonshine and bacon beer to BBQ in a jar and jelly fish pasta. Along the way, Justin meets the cooks and proprietors who, like him, march to their own beat through the world of food."

If this is only a one hour special rather than a series, maybe everyone hoping to see Justin in the kitchen rather than a traveling show will get their wish in the future.  Looking forward to the show?

Armed with $300 in his pocket, a beat up car and a passion for unconventional food and eccentric people, Justin travels the back roads of the South to try everything from moonshine and bacon beer to BBQ in a jar and jelly fish pasta. Originally from Hagerstown, Md. he began working in restaurants at just thirteen years old and has knowledge of the industry that extends way beyond his years. 3. Another drive-around-and-eat show. Great. The success of "Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives" continues to consume their entire schedule. Let's hope this is just FN trying to reintroduce Justin to their viewers, and not dumping him off. They may have decided that he doesn't fit their weekend-morning instructional show demographic (which is largely "Southern Belles" these days; I think the only male is Jeff Mauro with "Sandwich King").

  6. I think this show needs to stop casting and shut production down! Guy Fieri is the only "star" that has come from that show.
