Restaurant Impossible - Cafe No Fur Update

This week on Restaurant: Impossible, Robert Irvine and his crew are in Las Vegas, Nevada to makeover Cafe No Fur. Cafe No Fur is a vegan restaurant owned by a model and a poker player.  The restaurant is in danger of closing after only two years and Robert needs to get them to change their stubborn ways if the restaurant is going to survive.

As I normally do with Restaurant: Impossible episodes, I searched around the Internet to read stories, comments and reviews about Cafe No Fur to get an idea of how the restaurant is doing since Robert Irvine visited, and here is what I found (note - all reviews are post Restaurant: Impossible):

This week on Restaurant: Impossible, Robert Irvine and his crew are in New Orleans, Louisiana to makeover Dunbar's Creole Cuisine. Dunbar's Creole Cuisine is a restaurant full of history that needs a lot of help.  When Robert arrives, he finds there are no systems in place, no set roles, and the restaurant's matriarch refuses to change.  Robert will need to turn this restaurant around as the livelihood of two families depend on the restaurant's success.

As I normally do with Restaurant: Impossible episodes, I searched around the Internet to read stories, comments and reviews about Dunbar's Creole Cuisine to get an idea of how the restaurant is doing since Robert Irvine visited, and here is what I found (note - all reviews are post Restaurant: Impossible):

Tournament of Champions - Season 2

Season 2 of Tournament of Champions hosted by Guy Fieri begins on Food Network March 7th at 9pm.  This season is a little bit different as there are 14 chefs already announced to compete, while eight different chefs will compete for the final two spots.  Therefore, the bracket will not be known until the final two chefs are revealed after the first two episodes.

The 7 chefs representing the East are: Madison Cowan, Maneet Chauhan, Darnell Ferguson, Amanda Freitag, Marc Murphy, Christian Petroni, and Bryan Voltaggio.  All of these chefs also competed last year with the exception of Madison Cowen and Bryan Voltaggio.  The chefs who competed last year but not this year are Rocco DiSprito, Alex Guarnaschelli, and Elizabeth Falkner.

The 7 chefs representing the West are: Cat Cora, Antonia Lofaso, Brian Malarkey, Aaron May, Jet Tila, and Michael Voltaggio. Antonia Lofaso, Jet Tila, Michael Voltaggio, and Brooke Williamson (who won) return from last year, while the other chefs are new.  The chefs who competed last year but not this year for the West are Richard Blais, Eric Greenspan,  Beau Macmillan, and Marcel Vigneron.

Simon Majumdar and Justin Warner will once again be providing the play-by-play analysis of the competition, but this year Hunter Fieri will be following the action backstage.  The rotating panel of judges include Giada De Laurentiis, Scott Conant, Traci Des Jardins, Rocco DiSprito, Marcus Samuelsson, Nancy Silverton, Ming Tsai, and Jonathan Waxman.  The prize is once again a brand-new SUV and this year every time a chef wins around, the show will donate $10,000 in their name to their favorite local restaurant in need.

I will update this post with the bracket once it is known and update this post each week with the winners like I did last year.  The picture I have above seems to have 6 of the matchups, so it appears Brooke Williamson and Amanda Freitag will go against the wild card winners. Feel free to discuss this season in the comments.

Restaurant Impossible Returns To Food Network March 11

New episodes of Restaurant: Impossible will once again air on Food Network starting March 11th at 9pm ET/PT.  This comes after Discovery started having new Restaurant: Impossible episodes only available on their paid platform Discovery+ in January.  This made a lot of people upset that they would put a long-running show behind a paywall and apparently Robert Irvine and Food Network took the feedback into consideration.  Robert Irvine tweeted:

Dinner: Impossible will also return to Food Network after a long hiatus and this will also be on the actual Food Network channel.  Both shows will also be available to stream on Discovery+.

This should make fans of the show happy that they no longer would have to pay to see new episodes.  This should also make the restaurants that have appeared on the show happy as their episodes will be seen by more viewers.  I am sure when they agreed to do the show, they had hopes of their episode being seen by a large audience which usually boosts sales in the short-term.
