Restaurant Impossible - Park Vue Soul Food Update

Tonight on Restaurant: Impossible, Robert Irvine and his crew are in Buffalo, New York to makeover Park Vue Soul Food Bar and Restaurant.  Park Vue Soul Food is owned by mother and daughter Schenita Williams and Harrita West, who are trying to serve their community, but have no experience running a restaurant.  Robert will try to give them the skills needed to help both their restaurant and their neighborhood.

Spring Baking Championship Winner - Season 7

Tonight at 9pm ET on Food Network is the season 7 finale of Spring Baking Championship where the winner will take home a $25,000 prize.  The three remaining bakers competing for the prize are Derek Corsino, Natalie Soto, and Keya Wingfield.


Tonight's episode description states:
"The first round is for the birds as host Ali Khan challenges the bakers to create spring songbird-themed desserts. Then it's all about celebrating the joys of the garden and the critters within. The bakers must make lush spring garden cakes with a surprise design element inside. Judges Kardea Brown, Nancy Fuller and Duff Goldman award the best baker the title of Spring Baking Champion and the $25,000 prize."

Worst Cooks in America: Best of the Worst

Worst Cooks in America: Best of the Worst airs on Food Network Sunday nights at 9pm ET/PT where past recruits return for another chance to turn things around and win $25,000.  The mentors for the 'Best of the Worst' season are Anne Burrell and Michael Symon. 

The eight recruits returning to compete for the prize are:

  • Jonathan Beyer - Season 17 (New York, New York)
  • Lulu Boykin - Season 18 (Pittsboro, North Carolina)
  • Jefferson Goldie - Season 18 (Chicago, Illinois)
  • Domaine Javier - Season 20 (San Gabriel, California)
  • Stephanie James - Season 21 (Chicago, Illinois)
  • Joey Kinsley - Season 21 (Cleveland, Ohio)
  • Sadie Manda - Season 17 (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania)
  • Eric Smart - Season 20 (Los Angeles, California)

The recruits returning seem to all be from recent seasons of Worst Cooks in America.  This season is six episodes long with the finale airing on Sunday, May 30th.  It seems that the 'Best of the Worst' season has replaced the Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition this year.  Feel free to discuss this season in the comments and I will have another post for the finale.

Restaurant Impossible - Casa Di Francesca's

Tonight on Restaurant: Impossible, Robert Irvine and his crew are in Buffalo, New York to makeover Casa Di Francesca's. Casa Di Francesca's is owned by single father Steven Marchione who is struggling to keep it open after a series of tragic life events.  The restaurant is filthy, rundown and is losing money.  Robert Irvine needs to turn Steven into a leader if he wants to save his restaurant which will help support his family.

Tournament of Champions Season 2 Winner

Tonight at 8pm ET on Food Network is the season 2 finale of Tournament of Champions which will be two hours long. There are still five chefs remaining who are competing for bragging rights, a new SUV and a special mystery prize.  Jet Tila and Antonia Lofaso have a quarterfinal rematch after tying last week and the three contestants that are already in the semifinals are: Maneet Chauhan, Brooke Williamson and Darnell Ferguson.  The semi-finals of season 1 had Antonia Lofaso, Brooke Willamson, Amanda Freitag, and Maneet Chauhan, so the results are similar to last year.


For the semi-finals tonight, the winner of Jet Tila vs. Antonia Lofaso will face Brooke Williamson and Maneet Chauhan will face Darnell Ferguson.  Then the two winners of those match-ups will face off in the finale to determine the winner of Tournament of Champions season two.

From a previous post, here are the outcomes of the match-ups throughout this season:
  • Matchup 1 - Antonia Lofaso defeated Brian Malarkey by a score of 87-85.  
  • Matchup 2 - Darnell Ferguson defeated Marc Murphy by a score of 88-82.  
  • Matchup 3 - Brooke Williamson defeated Nyesha Arrington by a score of 92-88.
  • Matchup 4 - Michael Voltaggio defeated Cat Cora by a score of 95-90.  
  • Matchup 5 - Jet Tila defeated Aaron May by a score of 90-84. 
  • Matchup 6 - Tiffani Faison defeated Amanda Freitag by a score of 90-87.
  • Matchup 7 - Christian Petroni defeated Bryan Voltaggio by a score of 83-80
  • Matchup 8 - Maneet Chauhan defeated Madison Cowan by a score of 83-76
  • Matchup 9 - Brooke Williamson defeated Michael Voltaggio by a score of 91-88.
  • Matchup 10 - Darnell Ferguson defeated Tiffani Faison by a score of 85-80.  
  • Matchup 11 - Maneet Chauhan defeated Christian Petroni by a score of 83-80
  • Matchup 12 - Antonia Lofaso tied Jet Tila 93-93.

Restaurant Impossible - Millonzi's Restaurant Update

Tonight on Restaurant: Impossible, Robert Irvine and his crew are in Fairplay, Colorado to makeover Millonzi's Restaurant. Millonzi's is run by a husband and wife who are buried in debt and the restaurant's issues have them on the brink of divorce.  Robert Irvine needs to get Tim and Jenifer to work as a team again if they want their restaurant to survive.

The Great Food Truck Race Alaska Winner

Tonight at 10pm ET on Food Network is the season 14 finale of The Great Food Truck Race Alaska where the winning team will take home $50,000.  The two remaining teams competing for the prize are Breakfast for Dinner (Harry Poole, Kate Wurtzel and April Northdurft) and Tasty Balls (Nadia Ahmed, Misti Buard and D'Ambria Jacobs).


The final episode is in Fairbanks, Alaska and the episode description states:
"The final two teams meet up with Tyler Florence and go head-to-head in rugged Fairbanks, Alaska, where intense challenges and tough sell days test both food trucks like never before. With unparalleled grit and determination, one team will be named the champion and win the grand prize of $50,000, and one team will leave Alaska with only dashed food truck dreams."

Restaurant Impossible - Cosentino's Ristorante Update

Tonight on Restaurant: Impossible, Robert Irvine and his crew are in Geneva, New York to makeover Cosentino's Ristorante. Cosentino's Ristorante is an Italian restaurant owned by Bill and Nancy Cosentino.  The restaurant is struggling, which is causing their marriage to go downhill.  Their son Dom is serving unappetizing food in the restaurant and Robert Irvine needs to make big changes for the restaurant to succeed.

Restaurant Impossible - The Emporium

This week on Restaurant: Impossible, Robert Irvine and his crew are in Hawk Springs, Wyoming to makeover The Emporium. The Emporium is located in a small town and the owner Dennis is having trouble attracting customers and leading his staff.  His daughter Dillon may walk away from the business if Robert cannot get Dennis to change his ways.
