Cutthroat Kitchen Already Casting For Season 3

Despite still being in the middle of its first season, Alton Brown's Cutthroat Kitchen is already casting for season 3 of the show.  After all of the chefs/cooks are cast, the filming of season 3 will be in December of this year.  So, if you are interested in cooking without utensils, sabotaging other people, or think this show will somehow help your career, then feel free to apply.

Cutthroat Kitchen premiered on August 11th on the Food Network, and Season 2 of the show was already being cast in late August.  The filming of season 2 happened in September - October of this year, and that season should air in January of 2014.

The ratings must be good enough that two seasons/26 additional episodes are going to be produced.  While many people complain about the show and say they will not watch it anymore, it still brings in about 1.5 - 2 million viewers at the Sunday night 10pm time slot.  Get used to all of the competition shows on the Food Network as they will be around for a while.

  1. I did not like this show originally, but I enjoy it now. I like the strategy involved.

  2. Strangely fascinated by this show. There's no other way to describe it, it's absurdism in a way with all the sabotage.

  3. Nobody on the FN can do evil like Alton Brown. This is one of the funniest shows on TV. I love it!

  4. I like the strategy, I just can't stand the way they encourage the chefs to talk crap about each other. It makes everyone come off as jerks and that's what kills it for me.

  5. Yep. It's grown on me. I'm starting to compile a list of evil Top Chef alumni and alumnae I'd like to see. Although some have gotten too big for this competition, Heather from the Texas season springs immediately to mind, as does Jamie from seasons 5 and 8.
