Food Network Star Season 10 - First Episode Available Now

Photo - Food Network
The tenth season of Food Network Star is scheduled to begin on Sunday, June 1st, but you can currently watch the first episode for free multiple ways.  I have Comcast cable, and it is available for free On Demand.  A reader also notified me that the first episode is available for free on iTunes.  If you have a different cable provider such as Direct TV, Verizon, etc. leave a comment to confirm if it is available on there as well.

The first episode introduces all of the contestants and they must prepare and present a party appetizer to the judges, plus Bob Tuschman and Susie Fogelson.  Also, Ross Mathews from E! is there and the party supposedly includes "Hollywood Insiders."  The Buick product placement is all over this episode with each contestant being dropped off at a "red carpet" by a Buick SUV.

If you are interested in learning more about this season of Food Network Star, the contestants, and seeing the episode descriptions, there is plenty of info in a previous post here.

Also, if you are interested in who went home the first episode and who the two fan favorites brought back to compete on Star Salvation are, they are below:

Sara, Donna, and Emma were in the bottom three, and the judges decided to eliminate Donna.  I guess her experience on VH1's Tough Love wasn't enough to prepare her for more reality TV.  Donna will now compete in Star Salvation, and the previews revealed who the two fan favorites the Food
Network brought back to compete.  They are Chad Rosenthal from season 9 and Martie Duncan from season 8.  Considering Chad and his brother already have a new upcoming Food Network show, I would assume he doesn't make it out of Star Salvation.

  1. I agreed with their choice for the bottom three. So far, I like Aryen and her POV the most.

  4. Chad? Is that Frat Boy? If so, I'm thinking FN's definition of Fan Favorite is different from mine.

  5. I watched the first episode and I think this is the most lackluster group I have seen. Granted, I have not watched every season.

I have a feeling they are shoving that cowboy/big belt buckle guy down our throats.

He is "Pie Style" part two.

  6. I've never seen Food Network listed On Demand here. But, I have to comment on "Pie Style, Part Two."
Just seeing this idiot on the t.v. previews irritates me beyond belief. What is this, Halloween??? NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE dresses like that, and I live in Oklahoma. He looks like a total moron and is, indeed, "Pie Style, Part Two." Just looking at his contrived, hicky, ready-to-go trick or treating look makes me want to toss my cookies.

  8. Oh, that's right. He was the Barbecue Jew, wasn't he?

  9. I didn't connect the two. I think because maybe the Pie dude irritated me from DAY 1 and plus he couldn't cook worth a damn. But this guy seems a little more genuine and apparently (so far) can put his food where his mouth is.
Although I would agree that it might be a little too clownish.

  10. I don't understand how they pick for this show. I have watched the past 4-5 seasons and the past 2 have confused me. I think the annoying cowboy guy is the new "Pie Style" ( gag)

  11. Chad and Martie are the fan favorites? I can think of quite a few who were a lot more popular among the fans.... Ippy, Michelle, Malcom, Nikki..... And although Judson wasn't as popular, his POV was unique and seriously needed in the US.
