Food Network's Daytime Emmy Nominations

The Daytime Emmy nominations were announced yesterday, and the Food Network has five nominations.  All five nominations were in two different categories and they are below:

Outstanding Culinary Program:

Bobby Flay's Barbecue Addiction
Giada At Home
Other Nominees include in this category include - The Mind of a Chef - PBS, A Moveable Feast with Fine Cooking - PBS, Beer Geeks - Syndicated, My Grandmother's Ravioli - Cooking Channel

Outstanding Culinary Host:

Bobby Flay's Barbecue Addiction - Bobby Flay
Giada At Home - Giada De Laurentiis
Rachael Ray's Week in a Day - Rachael Ray
Other Nominee - The Mind of a Chef - PBS - April Bloomfield, Sean Brock

The Cooking Channel also has four nominations, which are: My Grandmother's Ravioli (above), and Giada in Paradise for 3 categories: Outstanding Special Class Directing, Outstanding Achievement in Single Camera Photography, and Outstanding Achievement in Single Camera Editing.

It looks like the Food Network submitted nominations for their core with Bobby Flay, Giada De Laurentiis, and Rachael Ray getting nominations.  Many of the daytime shows get better ratings such as Pioneer Woman and Trisha's Southern Kitchen, but I guess they didn't make the cut this year.

For reference, last year the Food Network received 10 nominations and won 3 awards.

  1. Love this website! I've been an avid fan of Kitchen Nightmares for years (and always Yelped the restaurants after each episode), but since I've never had cable as an adult, I've always just watched it on Netflix or online streaming. I recently discovered Restaurant: Impossible and it is so, so much better! More cooking, less bullshit, and I adore the host and his can-do attitude and way of managing people. This website is wonderful for pointing out what bullshit DOES occur! I'd leave this comment on a post about RI but I've not seen them all and don't want to spoil myself. Keep up the good work!
