Restaurant Impossible - Boutte's Bayou Restaurant Update

Restaurant: Impossible returns to Food Network this week after being exclusively on Discovery+.  This week, Robert Irvine and his crew are in Lafitte, Louisiana to makeover Boutte's Bayou Restaurant. The owner Nick is too proud to ask his staff for help and the staff is on the brink of mutiny. Robert needs to help Nick become a leader and trust his staff to help turn the restaurant around.

As I normally do with Restaurant: Impossible episodes, I searched around the Internet to read stories, comments and reviews about Boutte's Bayou Restaurant to get an idea of how the restaurant is doing since Robert Irvine visited, and here is what I found (note - all reviews are post Restaurant: Impossible):

Positive Reviews:
  • "Revamped and awesome! Same great food, they just updated the atmostphere. Friendly service"
  • "Great place and the owner Nick is wonderful. I highly recommend the food! The staff are very prompt and knowledgable, and it is definitely a place I would visit again!!"
  • "Great place to eat. Large portions too. Highly recommend."
  • "Great local gem! The view from the upstairs patio area is fantastic! The food is always delicious!"
  • "Amazing and right on the water! The owner Nick, Chef G, and staff are the best - a definite local staple!"
  • "Catch your fish with Nick with Get the Net Charters, get em cooked up at the restaurant however you want. It was delicious. May those sheephead rest in grease..."

Negative Reviews:
  • "New owner Nick is a jerk and better watch how he talks to people."

Other News and Links:
  • The Restaurant Impossible makeover for Boutte's Bayou happened in January 2021.
  • Here is the Boutte's Bayou Facebook page
  • Here are the Boutte's Bayou reviews from Yelp and Google which are mostly positive.
  • Nick also owns a boat rent/charter fishing business called Get The Net Charters and here is the website for that business.
  • Nick also owns a marina/fishing store called Nick's Marina.  Here is that Facebook page.
  • Both businesses are a couple miles down the road/water from Boutte's Bayou.

Conclusion:

The reviews for Boutte's Bayou have been mostly positive since the Restaurant Impossible makeover that happened just a few months before the episode aired.  The positive reviews complement the food, atmosphere, and new makeover.  Nick also owns a few other businesses, so we will see if the show touches on those and if the other businesses have any impact on his time spent at the restaurant.
