Pastori's From Restaurant Impossible Has Closed

Pastori's in Ellington, Connecticut, which was featured on season two of Restaurant Impossible, has closed for good after the close of business on Sunday June 8, 2014.

The restaurant posted the following message on their Facebook page:
"Today, after 28 years, we CLOSED our doors. Thank you to all our loyal customers and our amazing staff over the years. We wish the new owners much success.
The Savvidis Family."

Also, on the owner Bill's Facebook page, he said "I hit the lottery. 28 years ago made great friends have great employees am blessed had an offer can't refuse for my family so its bitter sweet."
They have also wished the new owners success and said they are great people.  So, it appears the Pastori's owners were ready to move on and are happy with selling their restaurant location.

This is the 11th restaurant from season 2 (2011-2012) of Restaurant Impossible to close, and the Restaurant Impossible Update Page has been updated to show this closing.

  1. I'm glad for them that they could sell it. So many of these owners have everything into their restaurants and would be out on the street if they failed.

  2. These shows are so stupid. Are we to believe that a restaurant on the verge of closing can be saved in two days with some paint, yelling and that man talking to everyone like they are dog poo stuck on the soles of his new shoes? It took more than two days for it to get broke and it can't be fixed in two days.

  3. At least this one lasted for a few years after the make-over. It's not like the restaurants that close sometimes even before the show airs.

  4. Wow. Rather outspoken aren't we? So sad. If you have nothing good to say, save it! Try to find some joy in your life Ernie and believe that miracles really can happen! May God somehow open your eyes.

  5. Not quite sure why this is designated as closed rather than sold.

  6. If you don't like it, don't watch. You have a choice.

  7. Sold restaurants are restaurants that were sold and are operating under the same name. There is no indication that the people who bought the building will still be going as "Pastori's"

Pretty much every restaurant that closes sells their building (unless it is leased), so they aren't considered "sold" but "closed."

    Hopes that makes sense.

  9. Agreed, even though it is a shame to see another go belly up, this did have a longer lifespan than most, so kudos to the old owners. Hope they made enough from the sale to be out of debt!
