Restaurant Impossible - Garrett's Mill & Brewing Company Update

Tonight on Restaurant: Impossible, Robert Irvine and his crew are in Garrettsville, Ohio to makeover Garrett's Mill & Brewing Company. Garrett's Mill & Brewing Company is a restaurant located inside a 200-year-old mill.  The owner Shelli is having trouble keeping the restaurant afloat after her husband Brian had to return to his trucking job to earn money to help support the business.  Garrett's Mill & Brewing Company has a $500,000 payment due soon and if they are unable to make it, they will have to close the restaurant.

As I normally do with Restaurant: Impossible episodes, I searched around the Internet to read stories, comments and reviews about Garrett's Mill & Brewing Company to get an idea of how the restaurant is doing since Robert Irvine visited, and here is what I found (note - all reviews are post Restaurant: Impossible):

Positive Reviews:

  • "We visit about twice a year, the quality has always been good and last night was no different. I think this is the perfect place to come for dinner and a drink without breaking the bank. Plus the restaurant itself is lovely and has quite the history. Our server was very nice and totally on the ball, we didn't wait long for food or drinks. I got the '1804' cocktail it was so yummy but I should've got the Christmas beer cocktail, so I stole some from my husband. For dinner we had the giant pretzel, fried mushrooms, I got French onion soup and he had a burger and fries and everything was great. Our total bill was like $55 which is not bad! We'll come back for sure!"
  • "Went in to check the new remodel. It was very open and light. Cool decorations. Went at happy hour, had a glass of wine and two appetizers. The food was very good and serve was very pleasant and helpful. Will return when i’m In the area."
  • "We saw this restaurant will be on Restaurant Impossible on Feb 6th and decided to try it out after the renovation and before the episode airs. It started out well with a very polite staff on the phone when we called for reservations. Our waitress Katlyn was perfect and really knew the menu. We asked her to point out the dishes that were added by the tv show and we each chose one of those. They came out fast....I was driving so I didn't try their beer....If you're ever out by Garretsville and hungry you can't go wrong here!"
  • "What a great stop today. The location right on the river and the falls out back was awesome. The food was top notch as well as the craft beer. Make sure to stop in when you are nearby and you will not be disappointed."
  • "My wife and I experienced a wonderful meal in a superb setting overlooking the waterfalls and once working mill. We had a great waitress and enjoyed conversation with the owner. Would love to be there on the weekends for the music. We will definitely be back. Oh, and the beer was great also!"

Negative Reviews:

  • "It looked great from the outside and that's about it. The beer we tried was pretty bad (the Dizzy deer ipa) plus we waited over 50 minutes for our food for a party of 4 and finally decided to leave. I do not recommend this establishment."
  • "We enjoyed the newly renovated dining room and the beautiful view of the creek but were disappoined with the food - nothing special."
  • "Very. Disappointed with the meal. Bangers and mash tasted like a packaged store bought brat. My friend had Chicken Paprikash with no visible chicken. Last year food was great!! View is great. Sadly to say we won’t be going back"
  • "this place takes to long to bring you your food. the beverages, like water and beer, taste horrible. I had to leave because it took to long for us to get our food. the service is also bad because she came out to us 2 times in a span of 50 mins"
