Worst Cooks In America: Celebrity Edition Cast Revealed

Photo - Food Network
When Food Network announced their new series for 2015, one of the shows announced was Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition with the mentors being Anne Burrell and Rachael Ray.  It seems like they are doing this show rather than Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off this year.

The filming of Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition has begun and the 'celebrities' competing on the show have been revealed.  The caliber of celebrities is the same as usual and the seven competing for the $50,000 charity prize include:
• Dean Cain - Superman
• Ellen Cleghorne - Saturday Night Live
• Jenni "JWOWW" Farley - MTV's Jersey Shore
• Chris Soules - The Bachelorette, The Bachelor, Dancing With The Stars - He seems to be in the tabloids over appearing in this show due to being on so many reality shows in a short amount of time.
• Jaleel White - Steve Urkel from Family Matters
• Kendra Wilkinson - Playboy, various reality shows - The Girls Next Door, Kendra, Kendra on Top
• Barry Williams - Greg Brady from The Brady Bunch
Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition will premiere in September 2015, and the season will probably be five or six episodes long.

1. Do we really think none of these has-beens can cook? Or are they just pretending so they can get back in the spotlight?

At least on Rachael vs. Guy, the celebs had some pretension of being able to cook, and some were downright excellent. Going in the opposite direction seems like a lousy idea.

2. Only 2-3 have I ever heard of, and none were on shows I ever bothered to watch. The only thing I watch anymore on Food is Restaurant Impossible. The only reason to tune in is to see a former Playmate, but since I obviously have internet access, if I want to find pretty women I can probably find them online. :)

3. Well, I guess this show redefines the meaning of "Celebrity."

This looks awful.

4. It's always been lousy. They have people allegedly starting grease fires and giving people food poisoning and weeks later they're showing skills I don't have yet.

5. I agree. It seems like this is a huge step backward.

6. I know only two, Jaleel White and Barry Williams. I also do think you might find some pretty women online if you go looking ;-)

7. 2 full blown reality stars, a playmate, Urkel (never watched that show), a comedienne I haven't heard from since her SNL days. Only two others on shows I watched. Underwhelming, but I'm willing to give it a look see.

8. Ha, I'm probably the only one here looking forward to this.

9. You're not the only one. I am too. I'm particularly interested in seeing Barry Williams and Dean Cain cook. And I like Kendra too.

10. Of course it is mostly fake. I applied for the show once and of course I would act like I had no idea how to cook. My plan was I would try to microwave everything.

11. I have heard of everyone but Chris Soules . Although I just regonize the name Ellen Cleghorne and forget what she looks like even.

I hope Anne gets stuck with Kendra and J-Soww, they will drive her crazy.

12. This show sounds like a real train wreck. A new all time low for FN. I could not lower my personal standards enough to watch garbage such as this hot mess.

13. The only two I'm NOT interested in are Ellen Cleghorne from SNL (who did she portray--can't remember her at all) and JWoww.

14. Chris Soules was on The Bachelorette, then was The Bachelor, followed by Dancing with the Stars. I used to like him, can no longer stand him, but am interested in seeing him attempt to stick his face in and hog the camera at every opportunity just like he did on DWTS. He seemed to go from appearing to be a nice guy to full of himself in no time flat.

15. Among other things, Cleghorne did a hysterical impression of Natalie Cole recording "duets" with all her late father's dead friends.

16. Soules is a "professional" reality-show contestant. He has no discernible talent beyond an ability to get himself on camera an into our media rooms as much as possible.

17. He and his family are very successful millionaire plus farmers with multiple farms. He should have stuck to that. I'm going to enjoy "loving to hate him" on Worst Celebrity Cooks.

18. Except that Matthew may inspire me to throw shoes at the television, while Soules probably won't be worth the effort.

19. LOL...think you are right!

20. Thanks, I'll have to Google that.

21. If they had to pick a former Playmate, they should have picked one who wasn't a bobbleheaded reality droid. Burrell will probably spend most of her time hitting on her.

Speaking of which, I want to see Burrell in another show as much as I want to see another Bobby Flay show...none.

Pass.

22. I don't know anything about Ellen Cleghorne. And I'm not interested in JWoww either.

ReplyDelete
23. I didn't like him at all on Dancing With The Stars.

24. Soules is fairly forgetable.

25. love worst cooks but this one i think will not be a favorite season. such a wrong turn this time. what a shame.

26. Barry is ready with plenty of Ground Round from Sam the Butcher.

27. Each episode is shot in 1 day. Even a show like Top Chef is shot in 2 weeks.

28. I am semi looking forward to the show. The drawback, I wince every time I think of Anne being super duper nasty and condescending toward her group. Well....everyone with the exception of Chris, that thought makes me smile.

29. Its funny all these complaints of casting 'has-beens' and this is an all-time low, but really whatd you expect from FN?! Also theyre worst cooks and this is a pretty plausible group of celebs that probably do suck at cooking. I mean the network is cheap in casting but these celebrity themes are always for charity so you cant really expect your favorite or relevent celebrities to be on here!

Its actually a cross-generational group that would make this interesting. Although I am really not intrigued by the three reality-stars: Kendra being on this show or on tv in general. Soules sounds like an impecable douche even if he isnt, and JWOWW, well Jersey brats are trying to grow up and redeem themselves, she may not be one of them...

I mean its most likely gonna be one of the other four celebrities that would win.

I dont get the whole only starting with 7 if it is supposed to be split into teams... maybe a slightly different format change to what wed expect from either Worst Cooks or Rachael vs Guy like there are no teams.

30. Is anyone else out there dang frickin' tired of watching 'celebrities' doing what we peons do daily? Why do we simpletons cave in to this Hollywood elitist mentality? I'd much rather watch a fry cook or waitress dance or cook or 'survive' on these reality shows. I need a cocktail.

ReplyDelete
31. Huh, how about I did not even notice the odd number until you pointed it out. Good observation. Intriguing.

ReplyDelete
32. Every "celebrity" and "stars" show stretches the meaning of the term. LOL

ReplyDelete
33. I'm totally watching. I like those shows and I'm interested in how Ann and Rachel's very different mentoring styles with mesh/clash.

ReplyDelete
34. As far as I know, we've never seen Rachael actually teach a non-cook how to cook. Anne is a master teacher, and even if she's sometimes harsh, her students always seem to learn from her.

ReplyDelete
35. The worst is Cooking Channel giving all its instructional programming to '80s and '90s has-been performers who are basically home cooks while real, professional chefs are stuck competing for airtime on FNS.

ReplyDelete
36. Maybe Barry will get hit in the nose by flying pig meat mid-way through the season and be replaced by Cousin Oliver. Oh wait, that was Marcia. Ehh...it still works.

ReplyDelete
37. I always get Guy Fieri and Ann Burrell confused...

ReplyDelete
38. Anne is the one that does not stick her fingers into everyone's food.
