Royal Oak is a hopping place, but the Oxford Inn is a half mile from the action. Jon Taffer on Bar Rescue makes an effort to connect with the owners and staff of the establishments that he "rescues". Also, there was little to no mention of what Green added to the place to make it more successful, again simply glossing over information.

As a network, The Food Network has become tired, formulaic, and contrived. I was a huge FN supporter, but my appreciation for them has dwindled over the past two years to the point of maybe watching one or two episodes a month. Slightly over 19% of their weekly programming is Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, and a lion's share is cheesy scripted "reality" drivel or contest cooking. They need to shake things up, clean up the pantry, and get chefs who want to cook and entertain! Look back over the past five years and see how the personalities of Guy Fieri, Bobby Flay, Alton Brown, and Robert Irvine have deteriorated. They need to take some time off and find their passion again. Like Anne Burrell said, "I'm sick and tired of seeing myself every time I turn on the TV." Maybe the network just needs some new brass? Food for thought. Pun intended.Robnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8808060991534955915.post-11317882303982882072013-11-24T14:26:10.871-05:002013-11-24T14:26:10.871-05:00I guess it didn't do well. The finished product looked nice and was an interesting concept.
