Pioneer Woman Christmas Special To Air In December On Food Network

Photo - Food Network
The Food Network announced two Christmas specials that will air on the channel on Saturday, December 6th.  Ree Drummond will be moving to primetime for a special one hour episode of Pioneer Woman called "Cowboy Christmas Hoedown."  The special will air at 8pm and the description of the show states:
"Ree Drummond is throwing a holiday party for local ranchers and their families. The menu is a fabulous seasonal spread, starring Sirloin Christmas Kebobs with Bell Peppers, Christmas Ham, Creamy Rosemary Potatoes, Bacon Green Bean Bundles and Cowboy Santa Cookies with salads and desserts, courtesy of the guests. This dinner and dance celebration is complete with gifts under a glorious Christmas tree, a roping CONTEST with western-themed prizes, and a live band to get the party started. It is frontier-festive all the way!"
Following the Pioneer Woman special, there is an Outrageous Foods Christmas special, described as:
"From the world's largest gingerbread village to a 1,000-pound chocolate Santa sculpture to an eight-foot-tall handmade candy canes, along with a life-size Christmas tree cake; these holiday creations are sure to make jaws drop. There is no doubt that bigger is always better, especially for the holidays."
I am sure there will be other Christmas-themed episodes on the channel in December, and I will include those in the December programming highlights.

  4. I have no interest in the Pioneer Woman special, but the Outrageous Foods Christmas Special sounds like it will be fun to watch.

  5. I've actually never watched The Pioneer Woman, mostly because she's on in the daytime. I am looking forward to seeing this.

  6. Lol! Funny. Taking bets now on 1) how many sticks of butter she uses 2) how many times she proclaims something is "glorious" or "her favorite" 3) how many shirtain changes she has in this special.

Isn't Lenny a cowboy? You'd think he'd fit right in...until Mr. Ree kicks his ass. I'd watch the hell out of that.

  25. Lenny is a wannabe cowboy from New Hampshire. He cooks at a dude ranch, which is more resort than rustic.

  26. You don't know anything about me. I'm far from a "city slicker". I've had horses almost from the time I was a first grader and I've been around horses and cattle for many years. I stand by my statement!

  28. Is there room for a big-screen TV in his bathroom?

  29. Does he need a big screen TV in the bathroom? As long as the door's open and there's a good view of the TV in the other room.

  30. I love Lenny. He was robbed!

  31. The animals are not hurt in any way let alone "tortured". Idiotic choice of words.

  32. Hey, guys, she as well as her husband could snap and bury him in their cemetery that is conveniently located on their farm. (Yeah, my dad had the show on once and she mentioned that the husband along with her kids where cleaning the cemetery that is on their property. Still can't get that bit out of my head).

  33. Try running in terror from being chased by one or two horses and have a rope thrown around your neck and be choked and yanked to the ground. In my book that's torture! You're the idiot!
