Food Network Star Voting - Poll

Food Network Star Final VoteBelow is a poll to try to find out who everyone is voting for(or rooting for) to win this season of Food Network Star.  The Food Network poll does not have the current percentages after you vote, so I will try to figure them out with this poll.  A reminder that the fan vote throughout the season on the Food Network site does not count towards the final vote, so if you were voting all season, you were doing it for nothing.

In last year's poll on this site, Justin Warner had over 66% of the vote, and ended up winning, so lets see if we can determine again who everyone is voting for:

If you want to actually vote, here is the link to the Food Network site that has the official voting.  However, you need a Facebook account.

  1. Put in 50 votes for Damais (so far)...hope it helps.

  2. Damaris is the best of a bad lot. Nothing against her, but there was nothing that unique about her or her concept. Just another generic perky blonde. Nicki Dinki should have gotten the show and there is no way that Rodney is better than Stacey.

  3. Voted for Damaris tonight with all 10 votes. Husband voted all 10 for Damaris. The guys should have been knocked out weeks ago. Rodney had raw dough in last week's challenge but was better than Nikki? Stacey is a professional chef. She has a sweet personality and she would have been very enjoyable to watch. She's a pro. The guys? The only winner that is left working on Food Network is Guy. Melissa's show was cancelled in 2012. Justin's show was never developed. 2011 winner show was on a short while and cancelled, Jeff the sandwich King. Artey was cancelled after a year also. Guy is really the only winner still active on the network. All the other winners are long gone. Melissa's show was my favorite. 2 of my favorite all times recipes come from her show. I use the recipe still for football Sundays for my husband. He loves it!

I believe the show either needs a complete overhaul or cancelled at this point. To me the judges or producers want another Guy. Stacey or Nikki should have won.

  4. Very disappointing season. The Food Network should return to what made it watchable in its infancy. More education and less gimmicks from stars with questionable culinary skills.

  5. I'd vote for Damaris but I don't have a facebook page and refuse to open one just for Food network.

  6. I think Damaris is clearly a replacement for an old Racist woman they can no longer. Sadly food network plays to the lowest IQ and the south doesn't get lower.

  7. Russell. Period.

  8. Really don't care about any of them (but I don't think I'll ever want to eat a pie again after Rodney), and it's not like I have a reason to believe that any of them will actually get a series after last year's debacle.

  9. Sandwich King premiered August 21, 2011, still on the air and going strong, about to start Season 5 in October. The show is one of the highest rated daytime shows on Food Network and now its on the air 3 times a week and, as of now, Jeff Mauro is very much a network favorite.

  10. Russell and the Pie Guy were my 2 least favorite of the men. I voted for Damaris-not sure of her pilot idea, but could definitely see her with a show. I also like Stacey and Nikki, but wonder if the judges were against them, as they have had a level of success already. Stacey with her Restaurant Impossible exposure, and Nikki with her web show.

  11. I have been watching Food Network for almost twenty years, and love the summer shows, when nothing else is on. I have never tried to vote for something online. I was so disappointed when I did try for the first time and had to have a Facebook account. I do not. I was so sad. I have watched this network more then any other in the last two decades. Why did they discount me because I don't use social media? This website a least let me vote for what it is worth ....Thank you...

  12. I feel the same way...

  13. Justin Warner when asked on twitter on when his show Rebel Eats is coming back on FN, he responded "never." So yea.... the chances of Justin returning to the food network with his own series is officially dead.

    ReplyDelete
  14. He already took the second step.... Corporate pitchman (for Hot Pockets).

    ReplyDelete
  15. In addition to that... Jeff Mauro also got a Daytime Emmy nomination which is actually very rare for a Next Food Network Star winner.

  16. I like Damaris. tacy was borrrriiinngg.....zzzzzzzzzz. Russell does nothing for me. Now, I'm a Baltimore girl and can unequivocally state that Rodney's pies are lousy. i wanted to root for the hometown guy, but let's face it: He's no Duff Goldman!

  17. Also updates on Melissa and Aarti - They have moved on with new shows on The Cooking Channel.

  18. Do you win much peddling stereotypes like this?

    ReplyDelete
  19. You don't have to vote via Facebook. You can vote up to 10 times each day directly on the FN site.

    ReplyDelete
  20. When you click on the Vote button on the FN site, it asks you to log into your facebook account.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Didn't for me. Are you logged into FN? If you're coming as an unregistered guest, that may be the reason you're asked to go through Facebook.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ah ok, maybe there is a way around the facebook thing if people would rather sign up for a Food Network account.

    ReplyDelete
  23. OMG, Damaris ALL THE WAY. Can't believe those 2 guys made it to the finals. They are both horrible.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Still not sure how Pie Guy got into the finale... He was my least favorite from the beginning & I thought for sure he was going to get eliminated in the mid-section of the show. I can't even understand what he's saying half the time....

  25. The official rules say you need a facebook account to vote online. There are also toll-free numbers you can call to vote.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I agree -- and I think the judges and the Suzie/Bob Show wanted the weaker contestants to be her competition so she would win. So there.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Totally agree. It's as if the network sets these contestants up for failureand/ or humiliation. Or are they so insecure that the "stars" like Bobby and Giada don't want actual competition? Is Demaris supposed to be the disgraced Paula's replacement? Show was better when Bobby, Alton and Giada weren't in it. They really don't help the contestants and their criticism is weightless.

    ReplyDelete
  28. What would be actually learn from any of these contestants? How to add bacon to ice cream? Wow, that's really useful. Or how to stuff any ingredients into a piecrust, whether it makes sense or not? It's one thing to turn anything into a sandwich(and that concept got old quickly), but entirely different to turn anything and everything into a pie! Ridiculous! And he can't even use the English language correctly. It's a shame because the people who try out sincerely want it, and yet the ones who have talent, like Viet or Nikki, are cast aside.

  29. Aarti does Taste In Translation and Drop Five Pounds Fast on Cooking Channel, and she's a regular contributor on Unique Eats. Not only did Jeff Mauro get a daytime Emmy nomination for Sandwich King, but he also did $24 in 24 and he's a contributor on The Best Thing I Ever Made.

  30. I wouldn't watch either of the guys. Damaris has a much broader range, IMHO. I love that she says Southern food doesn't need to be fried, and she doesn't feel compelled to say "y'all" every other word.

    ReplyDelete
  31. How? He is SO annoying!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Ugh. Can't stand demarush or whoever she is. Such a phony. And condescending! Russell all the way.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Im not sacrificing my privacy to join facecrook. Ill vote by phone.

    ReplyDelete
  34. i concur. They're trying to pander to the honey boo boo crowd.,

    ReplyDelete
  35. LI wondered the same thing. NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO BE ON FACEBOOK! im sick of having it constantly jammed down my throat.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Many of us thought that was the case with Stacey, but we were wrong. None of us expected to see Stacey eliminated and thought Damaris was doomed.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I didn't vote for any of them. None of the show concepts sound like anything I'd ever watch. Demaris seems the most competent of the finalists, but the show idea is awful. How many more Southern-themed shows does this network need?

    ReplyDelete
  38. I agree, I felt they purposely eliminated a few of the stronger ones so Damaris was the default. With editing, ANY of them could easily be a food authority on their own show but FN has a motive. I do enjoy the show and feel like their camera and live challenges are legitimately "real" but other than that, totally scripted and pre-determined. PS - I enjoy this page and appreciate all the posts!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Agreed, I was floored when she was eliminated. Not unhappy mind you, but very surprised.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Knew this season wouldnt be as predictable and in the end it started to feel more rigged for these three to get here. I personally think Russell still has a great concept out of the 3 but he himself still needs to work on camera presence. Rodney I thought was so inconsistent that I dont even get how he got to the end except because he has a cool personality, but even he messed up a lot on both the camera and presence side. Damaris obviously wins this by default and since Paula is cut from food network, it seems appropriate to bring in a fresher southern belle although i personally probably wont watch her show.

Nikki first got screwed over and then I think Stacey jist lost herself in the comp but still had more natural presence than Rodney and Russell but whatev thats how the show goes.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Of the three, I think Eat Date Love has the best chance of making it. I didn't think Rodney and Russell were bad, but I wonder how far you can stretch a show where you make a pie in each episode or have only seven ingredients to add to a dish. Not that there's anything wrong with adding bacon to everything *g*, but I think if I tune in to Damaris there will be more variety.

    ReplyDelete
  42. "Natural presence"?!? The tape recorder in her head kept running on playback and god forbid she needed to know something that wasn't on it.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Damaris has the sweetest personality and I can see watching her just for her pleasant smile and need to help other people. Shes the best!!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I admit she maybe a replacement. But the girl is sweet and is talented. Just because shes southern doesn't mean shes dumb.

    ReplyDelete
  45. They have phone numbers to vote. You can call 10 times a day.

    ReplyDelete
  46. This was the most misguided set of finalists this show has produced. How many times was Russell on the verge of elimination? Has Rodney shown he can make anything that's not a pie? There's no small amount of hypocrisy in them dumping Nikki for "lacking food authority," yet keeping Rodney who couldn't roll out more than a crust without a week's notice. Do they really believe *anyone* would watch a Rodney show consisting of him slapping random food in a pie crust? Seriously? Or Russel struggling with whether he's a sinner, a rebel, a foodie, or just an annoying guy with a mohawk. a Nikki-Stacy-Demaris final is what we, as viewers, deserved.

    ReplyDelete
  47. VOTE VOTE VOTE THEN! Only about an hour left!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Coming from someone who likes Russel? That's who's annoying with his stupid sins. He seems like a nice guy, but puleeze.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Remember Bobby and Bob wanted Stacey. The women and Alton went for Russell. I think it was Alton who was saving Russell from being eliminated in the challenges were he was att he bottom.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Valid points. That's why I've always reserved at least a decent measure of skepticism about the whole process, because it could so easily be engineered to steer the results to an individual predetermined weeks in advance. Not to say it might be "fixed," but "severely steered" isn't at all impossible. I really like Alton, but his rationale for dumping Nikki puts her against a standard to which neither Russell nor Rodney were held. And, as an aside, I would love to be a fly on the wall in the FN executive suites to hear the "untold story" about why Justin Warner's show was so unceremoniously dumped. I personally was not a fan of his style, but he was a very popular contestant, and I think that's a story worth telling.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Rodney rules. If FN doesn't get him, he'll do just fine elsewhere!

    ReplyDelete
  52. So want DAMARIS to WIN

    ReplyDelete
  53. Demaris can barely cook, Rodney is inept, at least Russell is a chef.

Demetria's fake southern shtick does a grave disservice to southern cooks everywhere.

I want a program I can learn from, not one done by idiot "chefs" that know nothing.

I caught my wife by cooking for her (g) but I think Demario's concept is moronic, sexist and belongs back in the 1950's. it would be a lot less insulting if it was non sexist, and non homophobic

  54. Sounds like in your world, everyone is a victim. What exactly was sexist or homophobic?
