Marcella Valladolid To Judge The American Baking Competition on CBS

Marcela Valladolid
Marcela Valladolid has recently stated she was working on something 'huge' where she had to be on location for 30 days.  Now we know what she has been working on...

CBS announced today a new summer reality series called The American Baking Competition. The series is based on the format of the hit UK show "The Great British Bake Off" premieres Wednesday, May 29 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Jeff Foxworthy is set to be the host of the show, while Paul Hollywood and Marcela Valladolid will be the judges.  Paul Hollywood is a famous UK baker and current judge of the British version of the show, while we all know Marcela Valladolid from her Food Network Show Mexican Made Easy.

The American Baking Competition will feature skilled amateurs competing in baking challenges with one ultimately being crowned the winner.

I guess this is CBS's answer to ABC's The Taste?

  1. From what I understand, the original British version is a huge hit (judging from guests on the "Graham Norton Show" on BBC America).

No opinion about Marcella V. I've always loved the view behind her, as seen in this photo, in the first few seasons of her show (she's moved to a different house now). Did she ever state if that was a real view from an actual house, or a fake view like on Giada's show?
